International Dairy Industry Forum, Moscow
Modernising milk production in Russia is the goal of the international dairy industry forum being held in Moscow from February 3 to 7. The Russian Union of Dairy Enterprises is hosting the forum, working in close partnership with milking technology leader DeLaval.
DeLaval CEO Joakim Rosengren will be a key speaker on the opening day, with several DeLaval dairy experts contributing in the following sessions. International speakers include the President of the International Dairy Federation Philippe Jachnick and Dr Michael Griffin of FAO, while industry experts, Russian academics and research scientists are well represented. More than 300 participants from all sectors of the dairy industry are expected to attend the conference.
The international dairying films produced for DeLaval’s 2003 Hamra 3D conference will be screened at the forum, which has taken inspiration from the full dairy cycle “from cow to consumer” discussed at Hamra 3D. The final day of the forum will be at the Barybino Farm Agro complex, a showcase for DeLaval equipment.
The international exhibition represents the most advanced techniques of dairy industry production, packing, transportation and sales, while the scientific and practical side of the conference will deal with a wide range of issues around milk production and processing, the introduction of modern technologies, raising the quality of milk, dairy cattle breeding, standardization of milk products, partnerships with retail chains and more.
The forum is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development and the Health Ministry of Russia, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia, Gosstandart of Russia, the Moscow Government and the Moscow Regional Government, ASSAGROS, the National Fund for Consumer Protection, SPPI and the Union of Cattle Breeders of Russia.
